The Hills...Series Finale

The Hills
So, one of my favorite reality television shows is coming to an end this year, MTV's The Hills! I absolutely love this show and got hooked on it 6 years ago! It originally was an extention of Lauren Conrad's life after high school in Laguna Hills, Orange County. I didnt watch Laguna Hills as religiously as I do the Hills, but I catch whatever reruns when I can, I guess you can say I caught the craze a little late, but now I'm a life long fan! Anyway, so for any of you Hills lovers tune in tonight at 9pm central standard time! Its going to be a great last season!

Easter

I know, I know I'm late posting Easter pictures, but most of you have probably already seen them via Facebook or Email, but for my son's sake and being able to look back on this blog site sort of like his very own baby book blog, I'd better post them!!

Braden was so sleepy by the time we got to Granny C's house after church, that he fell right to sleep soon after we got there, right along with his cousin Victoria, therefore they both missed out on the egg hunt with the bigger kids! But, once he did wake up he was ready to explore what these eggs were all about! At first we gave him one and then sat a few around him, and after that he wanted them ALL!

We had such a great time and I loved seeing my neices and nephews. I just dont get to see them enough, that I treasure the little time that we do see each other. It's always great seeing my brothers also. Sometimes I think I'd love to go back in time and savor so many fun childhood memories with them! Time flew by so fast, and it seems like you dont appreciate those memories until your older!

The weather had been an issue a few days leading up to Easter and we really were crossing our fingers that Sunday would turn out nice enough to picnic outside and of course hunt for eggs! The morning of was very windy, and a bit humid, but by lunch time it was sunny and warm! We had soooo much food! Too much probably! BBQ and all the fixings and lots of sweets and Easter treats! (I'm a poet and didn't know it, hehe :)

Anyway, it was a great time had by all, most of my aunts and uncles were there, minus my grandparents unfortunately, but they had prior engagements planned. My Mom worked very hard to make it nice for everyone, and although I wish everyone could have stayed longer, it was a great day!

Thank you again to my Mom, she loves her family dearly and its great when we can actually all get together and catch up! We need more times like that, and I'm doing my best to make sure that happens for my son!

I hope you all had just as wonderful of an Easter as we did, and acknowledged why we celebrate this day! Jesus sacrificed his life for ours, and for that I am forever grateful!

Webster Dictionary

Whisper... "to speak softly with little or no vibration of the vocal cords especially to avoid being overheard"

So, I can understand when whispering is your only option to speak with someone because you are in a quiet place and don't want to cause attention to yourself, but I hate with a passion when people whisper about other people when they are not 100% sure that those others around them can not hear what they are saying. Whether it be good or bad, I just feel it is rude. You might be planning a surprise for that person or you might be talking smack, but either way it doesnt make the others around feel very good. Simply, I would just suggest not doing it all if you aren't that good at it.

Tested...

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him" Hebrews 11:6

I have felt lately like my faith is being tested, so many things to stress and worry over, and so much easier just to give up and say I quit to everything! I feel as though I'm passing this test with a B-, or maybe I'm giving myself more credit than I actually deserve. My everyday stresses are just overwhelming me at the time, you could ask me why, and I have legitimate reasons, but I have decided to focus my energy on what's good and positive in my life and the things that I have to be thankful for. I have learned in the past couple of weeks that thinking too much about all the difficult things doesn't help the situation. All I can do is to be myself, stand up for what I believe in, and work hard for the things I want to achieve in my life. I feel like sometimes people like to pull you down because they can't accomplish what you strive to do or to be.
